Traditional shaped kitchens

Not all homes allow for the expansive, open-concept kitchen seen on TV. Some kitchens are galley style, L-shaped, or horseshoe. This kitchen shows that you can still get functionality and beautiful finishes in a smaller space!

Horseshoe kitchens are typically U-shaped with two walls and a peninsula. The key to basic functionality in any kitchen is the work triangle, or the lines between the sink, the oven/stove, and the refrigerator. This kitchen, while on the smaller side, functions beautifully because of Suzanne, (our spatial designer), sticking to the triangle approach when placing appliances.

Karndean flooring was installed throughout the main level, flowing from the kitchen in to the dining and living rooms. The upper cabinetry is quarter-sawn red oak and the lower cabinetry is painted a lovely green to compliment the medium brown uppers. Countertops are a long lasting quartz from Cambria, and the backsplash is a mocha colored glass tile.
