Main Level Remodel | Marsh Creek | Woodbury, MN

Working with existing materials in your home to create a custom space

Woodbury, Minnesota, saw a massive growth in population in the late 1990s and early 2000s due to an impressive increase of new construction. Marsh Creek was one of the big neighborhoods that was developed at that time, offering luxury houses in an ideal location. Much has changed in home design since then, specifically less gold oak and popcorn ceilings in favor of higher quality materials and darker woods. The problem many homeowners face in the eastern suburbs of the Twin Cities is how to update without having to replace all of the outdated gold oak.

The homeowners of this kitchen have a different sense of style, favoring natural stone but also sleek stainless steel. The mix of natural and chic create a fun combination of materials that are aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Organization is a large part of this project; it features several dropzones and cubbies for the kids in the mud room. The new flooring flows from the mudroom to the kitchen to the living room, a focal point to the open concept design of this main level.
