When Novare entered the scene, this 1980’s-built home in Wedgewood had recently come under new ownership. The new homeowners wished to update the style of a few rooms to reflect their personal taste as well as increase the functionality of these rooms. We were confident we could redesign these spaces in a way that exceeded our clients’ expectations.

Wedgewood Bathroom Remodel Challenges:  This Wedgewood home required two bathroom updates – a main and a master. The main bathroom was tired and outdated. The master bath was poorly laid out and the space was improperly allocated. Our homeowners wanted a larger shower, smaller tub and in-floor heat.

Wedgewood Laundry Room Remodel Challenges:  The laundry room – which doubles as a mudroom – lacked adequate storage space. Our clients asked Novare to remove the standard closets and create more effective storage.

The Novare Renovation Bathroom Solution:  We refreshed and modernized the main bathroom by replacing worn cabinetry and countertops with stained hickory cabinetry and granite countertops. Our mission in the master bath was more labor-intensive. We created a walk-in shower and installed a larger, poplar vanity with quartz countertop – a space that provides substantial storage. We installed a free-standing tub with a smaller footprint than the original and moved the master bath door to improve the layout of the room. In both bathrooms, we replaced old flooring with elegant porcelain tiles and we added in-floor heat in the master bathroom.

The Novare Laundry Room Solution :  We removed the original laundry/mudroom closets and replaced them with cubbies and a bench. We swapped out the original cabinetry with new, painted cabinets and a laminate countertop for added function and aesthetic. We upgraded old flooring with luxury vinyl.

The Wedgewood Bathroom and Laundry Room Results:  Pleased with the results, our Wedgewood homeowners said that this remodel sets the stage for future renovations. They commented that, although we didn’t actually add square footage, the laundry room feels bigger and the room’s function is vastly improved. Each of these heavily-utilized spaces are now much more functional and enjoyable and better suited for the needs of their new owners.
